The first of who knows how many posts....

So good evening and welcome to Churlishly Charming...

I am not sure if I am churlish...but I enjoy alliteration so it worked. In any case, I am slightly inebriated, which I suppose is not the best conditions for a first post, but what the hell, right?

I am not particularly sure what prompted me to start a blog, but after deleting my Myspace account due to boredom, it seemed like the thing to do. I am not the most open person in the world and I tend to veer to the sarcastic and snarky side of things, hence the churlish...yes, I know it means crude and boorish, which I am generally not, but again, alliteration.

Truth be told, I was inspired by (even though I created the name before I found hers, so please don't accuse me of copying the name) the now relocated "Charming but Single" blog. She seems like a pretty rad chick (or lady as Southern girls seem to like to be referred to as...) and I'd be down with buying her a drink at any bar, but I make a living about a hojillion miles away from her, albeit south of the Mason-Dixon Line, and us skinny Yankee boys are usually met with suspicion and scorn...although dudes from the Upper Midwest shouldn't really call ourselves Yankees, c'est la vie.

In any case, I predict that this, like so many other blogs, will be a platform to piss and moan about being single (which I am in a current state of loathing) and a place to file anonymous grievances against pain in the ass customers of the fine establishment which signs my paycheques. Yes, I am aware that I spelled "check" "cheque"...I am a big fan of the Queen's English, just to be different, so you'll have to bear with me.

Ta-ta for now...I am off to bed after a spirited adventure known as Wines of the World Jenga tour with my roommates.

PS: Little Penguin Chardonnay won...the Italian wine in the fish shaped bottle (selected by my roomie) = fail...thank God, I didn't pay for you...you'd have been thrown off our balcony after the first sip...I am disappointed.
